Pharmacy context
This pharmacy is situated in Leyburn a market town in the district of Richmondshire, North Yorkshire. The opening hours are Monday to Friday 9am – 6.30pm and Saturday 9am – 5pm. The pharmacy serves the local population, the majority of which are elderly and visitors. Approximately 5,000 items are dispensed per month 85 % of these are collections. EPS has not been adopted yet by the local surgeries. There are approximately 26 patients receiving medication in medication dosage systems (MDS) and 25 receiving trays in homes. Methadone is supplied to 2 patients. Private prescription numbers each month are negligible. The range of services includes Medicines Use Reviews (MURs), New Medicines Service (NMS), Emergency Hormonal Contraception (EHC) and Smoking Cessation.
