Pharmacy context

A Day Lewis pharmacy located opposite a health centre in the Lordswood area of Southampton. The pharmacy serves the local population which is fairly mixed.

The pharmacy dispenses around 9,000 items a month and as well as the NHS Essential Services, they also deliver MURs, NMS, health checks, minor ailments, MDS trays for around 40 patients and a delivery service. Privately, the pharmacy delivers malaria prophylaxis, erectile dysfunction treatment, a salbutamol PGD and influenza vaccinations. They also test patient’s blood pressures.

The pharmacy is open from 9am to 6pm Monday to Friday, closing for an hour’s lunch break between 1pm and 2pm, and from 9am to 1pm on Saturday.
