Pharmacy context
This is a Boots community pharmacy located on a parade of shops serving a mostly elderly population based in Blandford Forum. The pharmacy dispenses around 6,000 prescription items a month.
As well as the NHS essential services they provide medicines use reviews (MURs), new medicines service (NMS), private prescription dispensing, emergency hormonal contraception (EHC) via patient group direction (PGD), smoking cessation, a supervised consumption, smoking cessation, a flu vaccination service via PGD and privately and a prescription collection and delivery service.
The pharmacy opens from 9:00am to 5:30pm Monday to Friday and from 9:00am to 5:00pm on Saturdays. The pharmacy is closed on Sundays.
