Pharmacy context
The pharmacy is adjacent to a health centre in Barmston, in the town of Washington. It mainly dispenses NHS prescriptions and sells over-the-counter medicines. The pharmacy provides NHS consultation services such as Pharmacy First and the New Medicine Service (NMS). The pharmacy supplies medicines in multi-compartment compliance packs to some people, to help them remember to take their medicines. And it offers a medicine delivery service. This was a full routine inspection of the pharmacy. The pharmacy was last inspected in May 2016. It changed ownership in June 2023.

What does 'pharmacy has not met all standards' mean?
When a pharmacy has not met all standards, they are required to complete an improvement action plan, which you can find via a link at the top left of this page. We monitor progress to check the improvements are made and inspect again after six months to make sure the pharmacy is maintaining these improvements. A new report will then be published.
