Pharmacy context
The pharmacy was located in the popular Cotswold tourist town of Stow on the Wold and dispensed approximately 10 000 NHS prescription items each month with 70% of these being repeats. 70 domiciliary patients received their medication in monitored dosage systems (MDS). NHS enhanced services offered by the pharmacy were medicine use reviews (MURs), new medicine service (NMS) and supervised consumption of methadone and Subutex (just two patients at present). The pharmacy had been under new ownership since March 2016.
