Pharmacy context
An independent pharmacy located within a parade of shops and in close proximity to several GP surgeries. The pharmacy serves the local population which is mainly comprised of elderly residents and young families.
The pharmacy dispenses approximately 7,000 items per month and provides medicine use reviews (MURs), new medicine service (NMS), Flu vaccines, minor ailments scheme, Pharmacy Urgent Repeat Medicine (PURM), Malaria prophylaxis, substance misuse treatment (4-5 patients), prescription collection and delivery service, as well as MDS trays to 35 domiciliary patients.
The opening hours are: Monday to Friday 9am – 6.30pm and Saturday 9am – 2.30pm.

What do the summary findings for each principle mean?
The standards for registered pharmacies are made up of five principles. The pharmacy will also receive one of four possible findings for each of these principles. These are:
