Pharmacy + Me (9012604) - Improvement action plan

Standard not met Reason Action being taken by the Pharmacy By when Notification By Pharmacy Improvements Made
1.1

The pharmacy cannot show that it has adequately considered and mitigated the risks associated with its prescribing service. To date, it has issued a very small number of prescriptions. But it does not have documented risk assessments for its prescribing service to ensure this service is provided safely. This means people may not always be prescribed medicines which are appropriate for them.

The pharmacy is committed to conducting a comprehensive review of the prescribing procedures, ensuring that all potential risks associated with prescribing are carefully identified, assessed, and documented. For each identified risk, appropriate mitigation strategies will be established and implemented to safeguard patient health and to provide the highest standards of prescribing practice.
