SOPS will state acceptable forms of ID, purchase frequency limits and include risk assessments. The new SOPs will form the basis against which a clinical audit will be carried out. Procedures are currently in place but will be formalised in the SOPs. Regarding clinical Audit, audits of the rejection or approval process of 20 pharmacy medicines sales (10 of each) to determine if the SOPs were followed correctly. |

Photo ID for age-verification to be requested for all high-risk medicines such as Migraleve, Cinnarizine, Phenergan and Stimulant Laxatives such as Senokot Max and any future products advertised that fall under the same category. For lower risk medicines, checks will be completed using alternative methods such as card payment types and highlighting further the information relating to age restrictions on use and purchase. |
