1.1

The pharmacy cannot show that it completes due diligence checks of the healthcare providers and professionals that it works in partnership with to make sure they are safe and legal. And it doesn’t have documented working procedures specific to its services, to make sure its team members always work in a safe and consistent manner.

Action being taken by the Pharmacy
(A) All partners have an account manager who sits within our administrative team. All partners have a credit check, regulating body check, be it GMC or NMC as well as an on-boarding process. The pharmacy had been made aware how to do due diligence checks of all the prescribers who send prescriptions to the pharmacy to be dispense. Future action will be for the pharmacy to keep a spreadsheet of prescribers and preform due diligence checks at the pharmacy too, each month. Maintaining a record of the checks for inspection.

(B) A documented procedure with screenshots and responsibilities specific to the service will be written and shared with all team members.

The pharmacy does not have a private prescription register available with all the required information. And the pharmacy's records and systems are set up in such a way that makes it difficult for the pharmacist to check a person's ordering history when completing clinical checks.

A -The Pharmacy use the Electronic Private Prescription Platform created by E Health Solutions Ltd. The reporting section contains information
(Patient name; DOB, email. Prescriber name and email. Medication name, dose and quantity.) A change request has been sent to E health Solutions LTD to change the report to include addresses.
B - The pharmacy team have been advised to record all private prescription details in the private prescription book until the reporting change has been made and the GPhC Electronic Private Prescriptions platform report as a private prescription register.

The pharmacy team have now been advised how to search previous prescriptions issued for patients using the Electronic Private Prescription platform by copying patient details from to be dispensed screen and entering into the search bar for dispensed prescriptions. This brings up the history for the patient. This will be written into the documented procedure with screenshots as above.
