2.1 | Staff are deployed in such a way that for periods of time there are not enough suitably qualified staff to operate safely and effectively. |
The 'superintendent pharmacist' (SI) confirms the trainee dispenser will be provided with 30 minutes a day protected learning time. They have arranged for the delivery drivers to read and signed the relevant SOPs, and will be enrolling hem onto an approved GPhC driver's course. The SI confirmed that family members were only recently providing cover due to the bank holidays where the team had fallen behind with the blister packs, and when one of the team members were off and a Locum was present. The SI also confirmed they have a new pharmacist who understands how the pharmacy operates and the deadlines required to ensure that the team doesn't fall behind whilst they continue to look for another dispenser. |

2.2 | There is evidence that team members carry out activities for which they are not appropriately qualified or trained. |
The SI confirms they have an updated and detailed Blister Pack SOP to include the de-blistering process. And that all team members, including those who are helping to cover have read and signed the relevant SOPs related to their task(s). |
