John Bannon Pharmacy (9010962) - Improvement action plan

The pharmacy does not obtain sufficient verification information to confirm that the prescribers are who they say they are. And it does not routinely check the professional registration of prescribers on an ongoing basis.

We have been in touch with our website developer and they have added an additional function to upload photo ID as part of the account opening process as requested by the inspector.
We are implementing a system of routine random checks of prescriber registration to ensure they are still entitled to prescribe.

We are also looking to investigate with our website developer a way to structure and implement a planned regular check of all prescribers utilising their account details held on the website. This is aspirational at this stage and may take a while to implement.

In the meantime, the previously mentioned routine random checks will be taking place.
