Willington Pharmacy (1119949) - Improvement action plan

The pharmacy has not adequately identified and managed the risks associated with the COVID vaccination service, and this is impacting on the traditional pharmacy services. And the pharmacy’s policies procedures are not always relevant and up to date.

A tailored risk assessment for provision of the Covid vaccination service will be in place.
All vaccinators will have signed the PGD or National Protocol as appropriate.
Copies of the vaccinator accreditations will be retained within the pharmacy.
To help minimise impact on traditional pharmacy services. Additional admin/steward staff will be recruited to help manage Covid vaccination patients.
The existing pharmacy SOPs will be reviewed and updated as appropriate.
