1.1 | The pharmacy does not manage key risks relating to health and safety and staff training, including learning associated with the pharmacy’s procedures. |
The area manager has trained the staff and we will go back and retrain the staff on this if they have misunderstood what they need to do. Training modules have all been emailed to staff on personal email addresses so they can access NUMARK Net where they get training modules and health and safety information and many other information |

This is managed by Britannia waste and they have been taking waste away and I will ask them to take away again and shred all. Staff will need to be trained again how to dispose of confidential waste |

2.2 | Not all pharmacy team members are enrolled on a GPhC accredited training programme to support them in achieving the knowledge and skills required for their roles. This means that the minimum training requirements set by the GPhC are not met. |
All new staff are enrolled when they have started with the company after 3 months. Existing staff should have done training courses. The area manager will ask again, and we shall put all relevant staff on the training courses |

3.1 | The pharmacy does not have a working fire alarm. And people in the pharmacy can’t hear the alarm in the adjoining health centre. This poses a health and safety risk to both staff and people visiting the pharmacy and adjoining health centre. The pharmacy does not have an appropriate waste management contract in place. This means that waste is accumulating and poses a risk to staff and the surrounding environment, where it is stored. |
We shall look at this and get a fire alarm fitted again on the refit of the store The waste contract we have had to use a new supplier to collect the waste. The area manager will teach staff to breakdown the cardboard boxes and how to throw rubbish away |
