All standard operating procedures to be reviewed and updated where necessary to accurately describe the expected processes within the pharmacy. New SOPs to be created for procedures that are not covered by current SOPs. Areas in particular to be reviewed: All staff members to read updated SOPs and to sign to acknowledge their implications and understand the need to follow the procedures detailed in the SOPs whilst working in the pharmacy. Particular attention to be paid to the SOPs dealing with near misses, errors and safe guarding. Staff to be reminded of the need to wear PPE appropriately throughout their working day to minimise the risk of infection during Covid-19 pandemic as outlined in the Health Protection Scotland guidance for primary care. Staff also reminded of need for regular cleaning of touch points and surfaces as per pharmacy cleaning rota. (DONE) Create business continuity plan and make staff aware of its contents and when to access it. (By end August 2021.) |
