The pharmacy does not maintain all records accurately and in accordance with legal and regulatory requirements. This may compromise patient safety. Some records are not available for inspection as required.

Training to be provided to staff members assigning each staff member to pharmacy tasks and improve compliance.

ONE register being maintained (Electronic) with weekly balance checks monitored by the Area Manager to ensure correct record keeping.

Staff training completed using the support centre to re-affirm the use of the electronic CD register as well as labelling and adding goods in for CD’s.

All Private prescriptions filed and stored correctly as per the SOP and documented in staff training records.

Specials processed correctly and pharmacy is recording certificates of conformity.

Training record forms relating to SOP’s being completed and ongoing with signatures.

Staff to read SOP’s- No. 44 and No. 68 relating to RP record keeping and Specials process

Pharmacy staff are completing Inductions/probations.

Support to be provided by Head Office staff couple of times per week on formal procedures and development
