Medicines + Pharmacy (1093357) - Improvement action plan

Not all pharmacy team members progress through and complete training relevant to their current role in a timely manner. There is evidence that team members complete some tasks without having completed the necessary learning to support them in ensuring the tasks are carried out safely and effectively.

1) Pharmacist Manager in post from 27 September 2022. One of his objectives is to ensure all staff have regular weekly training time, this will be monitored to ensure timely progress.
2) Staff to work through the Dispensing Assistant Course first, prior to the Medicines Counter Assistants if their job is dispensary based.
3) Protected learning time in weekly plans for all staff.
