From the findings and checking the time sheets and the staff hours in branch for the past two months that the pharmacy was never operated less than six dispensers and one counter staff member every day. Since the inspection took place briefed the staff by visiting the branch identified the weaknesses and advised the staff to plan the upcoming holidays so that staff cover could be arranged. Briefed the staff to inform and discuss with head office if they are getting behind with the work so that extra staff cover could be provided. |

Since the inspection report has been received, adequate measures were taken to safely store the refrigerated items. Advised the staff to move the stock to the fridge which is working properly, and a new fridge was ordered and sent to the branch straightaway. Check that the temperature sensors are in the right place and are working correctly. Advised the staff to check the temperature and record the temperature if the readings are in the range between 2-8C. Reset the min/max fridge reading and alarm when required if the temperature is out of range. |
