The pharmacy team is not always able to manage the workload or provide services effectively

Review of staffing levels and skill mix (using staffing and capability assessment document) Completion of staffing rota, matrix and training plan.

Complete and maintain 6 weeks forward planning rotas

Assess against workload and identify any shortfalls. Escalate to RDM.

Recruitment completed for Pharmacy Assistant. Induction to be completed at a neighbouring store to support her training. Relief cover to be provided in the meantime.

Recruitment for permanent manager to be completed. Experienced Manager currently managing the pharmacy 3 days per week, with a local Manager overseeing the other 2 days until recruitment completed.

Experienced Pharmacist recruited to work in the pharmacy 3 days per week to support with Leadership and continuity.

Additional training to be provided to the colleague who has recently returned from maternity leave to support in training of the new PMR and processes.

Utilise Central Fulfilment to maximise off site dispensing.
