The pharmacy is not managing all aspects of its workload and has been reliant on relief team members and pharmacists. This has resulted in the pharmacy failing to maintain key tasks. And it is harder for the team to manage their workload efficiently.

• Colleague rotas to be reviewed by the Area Manager to ensure an adequate skill mix is maintained through our trading hours. The objective is to ensure there are three staff members in each day 8.30-5.30pm.
• Planned absence to be controlled and supported by the relief team to ensure there is no negative impact on branch operational process.
• Area Manager to complete an Internal Action Plan based on Standards identified as areas for improvement, from the GPhC inspection report and Rowlands Professional Standards Team Audit.
• Currently recruiting for 39 hours – ACPT and Healthcare Partner roles. Applicant is being interviewed this week, for potentially 20 hours per week.
• Operational hours being reviewed with Senior Leadership Team, based on branch size, pharmacy business model and current staffing levels.
• Full time Pharmacist Manager due to join the business January 5th 2026.
• Skills matrix to be reviewed with all staff members to identify any training needs.
