Lindsay & Gilmour Pharmacy (1041951) - Improvement action plan

The pharmacy keeps prescriptions beside the medicine counter. And people's names and addresses can be easily read from the waiting area. The pharmacy does not always keep information safe. And people’s personal information is not always protected.

Following the receipt of the report. The Superintendent and his deputy visited the site to review the stortwo measures.

Two measures to be taken;
1) Installation of blinds over the affected shelves to protect the data from being viewed. This is a short-term measure prior to the secondary action outline below
2) Complete a full refit of the pharmacy. Following the visit RDC our shopfitter of choice has been asked to refit the premises incorporating an expansion of the dispensing area to subsume the bag storage area into its control. This will prevent bags being stored in plain site. It will also support improved workflow in the dispensary.
