All staff have been required to refer to and follow the relevant SOPs to always ensure the safe storage and appropriate packaging of medicines. Additional monitoring equipment has been introduced to ensure that all temperature requirements are consistently met and all medicines requiring special storage are store securely and appropriately. Stock management procedures have been strengthened, including reinforcing correct stock rotation and implementing regular three-monthly date checks. These measures will help ensure that medicines remain suitable for supply and will support the safe and prompt dispensing of medicines while reducing the risk of errors. |
