The pharmacy does not always dispose of people’s personal information properly. This could result in this information being disclosed.

Superintendent has discussed the confidentiality and GDPR policies with all members of staff and reminded them of their duties in this regard. General and confidential waste bins have been labelled appropriately, and staff have been informed of the same. Investigations have revealed that there was one isolated incident of incorrect disposal of people’s personal information which was correctly and properly identified by the inspector and brought to the attention of the superintendent, affording an opportunity to immediately put changes in place to avoid a repeat of this incident. Random compliance checks will be carried out by the superintendent to ensure that policies are being adhered to, and that the changes have been fully understood by all staff members.
