---|---|---|---|---|
1.6 | The pharmacy does not keep all its records correct and accurate. This includes the legal records involving higher risk medicines. |
Complete all records involving higher risk medicines and they are to be kept up to date with regular checks are per guidelines. Staff to be trained on how make entries in the registers as well. Near miss logs will be kept safely as there were large gaps missing, and routinely the team will learn from errors. |

4.3 | The pharmacy does not store all its medicines safely. And it does not maintain records to show it appropriately monitors the temperatures some medicines are stored at to ensure they remain safe to supply. |
All the loose medications without expiry and batch numbers have been appropriately destroyed and from now on any new ones will be labelled appropriately in their new containers. Fridge temperature log has been activated on the patient medication record (PMR) system so the notification pops up daily. Staff know how to take the temp as well. A more routine check involving expired stock will be undertaken so any ‘soon to be expired’ stock is clearly marked. |
