The pharmacy does not have enough staff to dispense all the prescriptions it receives in a timely way. Pharmacy team members struggle to keep up with the workload. This means that prescriptions are not always ready when people come to collect them.

1. Provide Pharmacy Store Manager with the identified skill mix and hours for the pharmacy.
2. Review region escalation process and provide updated version to the Pharmacy Store Manager.
3. Complete the company staffing and capability review, agree an action plan and implement ongoing staff rotas - six weekly planning.
4. Contact Employee Relations Helpdesk to review staff absence triggers.
5. Manage staff absence as per Attendance Management policy.

Staff do not feel supported by their leaders. They do not feel that their ideas and suggestions are listened to.

1. Organise team meeting with the full team, including Relief Support and Cluster Manager in attendance.
2. Cascade Raising concerns process to Pharmacy Store Manager.
3. Cluster Manager to maintain contact with the pharmacy on a weekly basis ‘How you doing – check in’
4. Complete reflection and learning, agree any training required and discuss organisation of workload.

The work areas of the pharmacy are small and cluttered. This increases the risk of errors.

1. Revisit Best in Class Operational procedures – Prescription Management.
2. Start repatriation of multi-compartment compliance aids to a neighbouring pharmacy.
3. Going forwards new requests for multi-compartment compliance aids signposted to neighbouring pharmacy.
