Increase in workload to be run through company budgeting tool and any deficit to be identified in hours.

Company staff profiling tool to be re-run to ensure that staff are working at the correct time.

Company agreed protected training time to be provided to all team members

Most parts of the pharmacy are cluttered and some areas, such as the consultation room are not clean. This does not present a professional pharmacy image and also increases the likelihood or mistakes.

Team to be arranged to support the cleaning and tidying of all areas of the pharmacy including the consultation room.

Area of the pharmacy to be identified for storage of prescriptions awaiting checking to remove it from the dispensing bench.

The pharmacy does not store all its medicines safely, including controlled medicines requiring special storage. This increases the risk of mistakes. And, it does not dispose of some specialist medicines safely.

Assessment to be carried out to identify if another controlled drug (CD) cabinet can be fitted in branch.

Methameasure to be installed in the branch.


All staff to be retrained on the patient- returned medication standard operating procedures and the different disposal routes, ensuring all equipment is available or ordered.
