Last inspection: 24/03/2025

Pharmacy context

This community pharmacy is located next to a convenience store in the village of Takeley in Bishop’s Stortford. It dispenses NHS and private prescriptions. And it supplies medicines in multi-compartment compliance packs to some people. The pharmacy sells medicines over the counter. And it provides some services such as NHS blood pressure checks and the NHS Pharmacy First service.

This was a desktop inspection following an inspection in February 2025 where the pharmacy did not meet Standard 2.2 because team members had not been enrolled on or completed accredited training courses relevant to their roles. This reinspection focused on the Standard which had previously not been met. Since the last inspection, the superintendent pharmacist has enrolled all team members on accredited courses so they have the right training to carry out their roles safely.
