Pharmacy context
This is a private pharmacy located on an industrial estate in Dagenham, within a predominantly residential area. The pharmacy is not physically accessible to members of the public. It mostly dispenses private prescriptions for weight management medicines received from a third-party online prescribing service. The pharmacy is owned by SW Pharmaceuticals UK Ltd, which holds an MHRA Wholesaler Distribution Authorisation. This was a reinspection following an inspection in October 2025, where the pharmacy did not meet Standards 3.1 and 4.2 but was meeting the other Standards. This reinspection focused on those standards which had previously not been met, and Standard 1.7 was also assessed. Since the previous inspection, the pharmacy had amended its website to remove advertisements for prescription-only medicines. However, it was identified during the reinspection that references to ‘weight loss injections’ and ‘before and after’ photographs remained visible on the pharmacy’s home page. These were removed shortly after the inspection. The pharmacy had made some improvements to its weight loss service. For example, it now undertook additional checks before supplying medicines. However, several concerns were identified during the reinspection. In particular, the pharmacy had not undertaken sufficient due diligence to assure itself that the third-party prescribing service it works with was operating safely and in accordance with relevant guidance and regulatory requirements. As a result, the pharmacy could not adequately demonstrate that appropriate safeguards were in place to protect people accessing the service.

What do the inspection outcomes mean?
After an inspection each pharmacy receives one overall outcome. This will be either Standards met or Standards not all met
| The pharmacy has met all the standards for registered pharmacies | |
| The pharmacy has not met one or more of the standards for registered pharmacies |
What does 'pharmacy has not met all standards' mean?
When a pharmacy has not met all standards, they are required to complete an improvement action plan, which you can find via a link at the top left of this page. We monitor progress to check the improvements are made and inspect again after six months to make sure the pharmacy is maintaining these improvements. A new report will then be published.
