Pharmacy context

This is a community pharmacy located within a parade of shops in southwest London. Its main activity is dispensing NHS prescriptions. And it supplies medicines in multi compartment compliance packs to some people who need help remembering to take their medicines at the right times. The pharmacy provides the Pharmacy First and Hypertension Case Finding services. This was a reinspection following an inspection in July 2025 where the pharmacy did not meet Standards 1.6, 2.2 and 4.3. This reinspection focused on those Standards which had previously not been met. The pharmacy now maintains its responsible pharmacist record properly and the staff member who previously was not on a course, has now been enrolled onto an accredited course. The pharmacy have implemented an expiry date checking process and this is now in place. The pharmacy had previously not been able to demonstrate that all its medicines requiring refrigeration were being stored appropriately. It now checks the fridge temperatures regularly and records showed that these medicines were being stored at appropriate temperatures. The pharmacy previously did receive MHRA alerts but it did not have a clear audit trail for the actions taken in response to them. It has now implemented procedures to ensure that these are actioned promptly and any action taken kept for future reference.
