Westlake Pharmacy (1040699)

Inspection outcome: Standards met

Last inspection: 22/08/2025

Since January 2025 our inspection reports are more concise and accessible - find out more about the changes

Pharmacy context

This pharmacy is located on a busy high street in Golders Green in North London. It provides a variety of services including dispensing of NHS and private prescriptions and the Pharmacy First service under Patient Group Directions (PGDs). It also provides medicines in multi-compartment compliance packs for people who have difficulty taking their medicines on original packs.

This was a reinspection following an inspection in May 2025 where the pharmacy did not meet Standards 1.2, 3.1 and 4.3. This reinspection focused on those Standards which had previously not been met. Since the last inspection, the pharmacy has started regularly recording and reviewing near misses and had tidied up and decluttered the dispensary and consultation room areas. The pharmacy has also started recording fridge temperatures daily, had removed expired medicines from its shelves, and is storing high-risk medicines away from patient accessible areas.
