Pharmacy context

The pharmacy is in Kingsbridge, Devon. It dispenses NHS and private prescriptions and provides advice to people about long- and short-term conditions. The pharmacy offers a range of NHS services including flu and COVID-19 vaccinations, the NHS Pharmacy First service, the NHS New Medicines service and NHS Hypertension Case Finding service. The pharmacy dispenses medicines into multi-compartment compliance packs to help people remember to take their medicines at the right time. The pharmacy also dispenses medicines and provides support to those who use illicit drugs. 

This was a routine inspection of the pharmacy which focused on the core Standards relating to patient safety. Not all the standards were inspected on this occasion. The pharmacy was last inspected in January 2016 and all standards were met.
