Pharmacy context
This is a community pharmacy located inside a health centre in Crewe, Cheshire. Its main activity is dispensing NHS prescriptions, some of which it delivers to people's homes. It also sells medicines over the counter and provides various services including the NHS Pharmacy First service. The pharmacy sends some prescriptions to be dispensed offsite at another pharmacy within the company known as a hub. It also supplies some people with their medicines in multi-compartment compliance packs to support them in taking their medicines safely.
This was a routine inspection of the pharmacy which focused on the core Standards relating to patient safety. Not all the Standards were inspected on this occasion. The pharmacy was last inspected in October 2015.
