Pharmacy context
This community pharmacy, located near the centre of Wisbech, is close by North Cambs hospital and a busy GP surgery. Its main activity is dispensing NHS prescriptions, many of which are for acute treatments. At the time of the inspection, it had just started the spring Covid booster vaccination programme having recently finished administering season flu vaccinations. The pharmacy offers the NHS Pharmacy First service and New Medicine Service. It provides advice to people and sells a range of medicines over the counter, it delivers medicines to some people at home, and it supplies medicines in multi-compartment compliance packs to some people who need this help with taking their medicines at the right times.
This was a routine focused inspection which looked at the Standards most related to patient safety. Not all Standards were inspected on this visit. The pharmacy was lasted inspected in 2017.
