Pharmacy context
This community pharmacy is located in a largely residential area in a Nottingham suburb. It opens Monday to Friday. Most of its activity is dispensing NHS prescriptions for people who live in the local area. Some of these prescriptions are prepared at an off-site dispensing hub. The pharmacy also sells a range of medicines and gives advice to people over the counter. It offers the NHS Pharmacy First service, and hypertension case-finding service. It delivers medicines to some people's homes. And it provides seasonal flu vaccinations and Covid boosters. It has recently started providing weight management treatments under a private patient group direction (PGD).
This was a routine focused inspection which looked at those Standards most related to patient safety. Not all Standards were inspected on this occasion. The pharmacy was last inspected in 2016.
