Pharmacy context
This pharmacy is in the Nottinghamshire village of Balderton. The company that owns the pharmacy operates two separate services from the same registered premises. The community service provides dispensing services to the local population. It sells over-the-counter medicines. And it provides NHS consultation services including Pharmacy First, blood pressure checks, the Pharmacy Contraception Service, and the New Medicine Service (NMS). The second service involves dispensing medicines to seven prisons. And supplying some stock medicines to the prisons through a wholesale dealer’s license issued by the Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency (MHRA).
This was a full routine inspection of the pharmacy. The pharmacy was last inspected in June 2015.
