Pharmacy context
The pharmacy is in a row of shops in the town centre of Bishop Auckland, County Durham. Its main services include dispensing NHS prescriptions and selling over-the-counter medicines. It provides a range of NHS services, including Pharmacy First, New Medicines Service and blood pressure check service. It also offers some seasonal vaccinations and private consultation services such as weight management. The pharmacy team uses automation to dispense some prescriptions. And it supplies medicines in multi-compartment compliance packs to some people to help them remember to take their medicines. The pharmacy offers a medicines delivery service. This was a routine inspection of the pharmacy which focused on the core Standards relating to patient safety. Not all the Standards were inspected on this occasion. The pharmacy was last inspected in Dec 2015. It changed ownership in Jan 2024.
