Pharmacy context
This community pharmacy is in the centre of Histon, near Cambridge. Its main activity is supplying medicines to people against NHS prescriptions, some of which are dispensed at the company’s hub. The pharmacy also provides New Medicines Service checks, the Pharmacy First service and seasonal flu and Covid-19 booster vaccinations. It supplies medicines in multi-compartment compliance packs to a small number of people who need this support. It delivers medicines to some people. And it provides a substance misuse service.
This was a routine focused inspection which looked at the core Standards for pharmacies which are most related to patient safety. Not all Standards were inspected on this occasion. The pharmacy was last inspected in 2017.
