Pharmacy context
This community pharmacy is in the village of Swallownest, close to Rotherham in South Yorkshire. Its main services include dispensing NHS prescriptions and selling over-the-counter medicines. It provides NHS consultation services including Pharmacy First, blood pressure checks and the New Medicine Service (NMS). And it supplies some medicines in multi-compartment compliance packs to support people in taking their medicines.
This was a routine inspection of the pharmacy which focused on the core Standards relating to patient safety. Not all the Standards were inspected on this occasion. The pharmacy was last inspected in November 2016.
