Pharmacy context
This busy community pharmacy is situated alongside a GP surgery in the large South Yorkshire village of Cantley, on the outskirts of Doncaster. Its main services include dispensing NHS prescriptions and selling over-the-counter medicines. It provides NHS consultation services including Pharmacy First, blood pressure checks, the New Medicine Service, Pharmacy Contraception Service, and seasonal vaccinations. It also offers private consultations for weight management, period delay, and private flu vaccinations. This was a routine inspection of the pharmacy which focused on the core Standards relating to patient safety. Not all the Standards were inspected on this occasion. The pharmacy was last inspected in April 2016.
