Pharmacy context
This is a community pharmacy located adjacent to a health centre in Walkergate Newcastle-Upon-Tyne. It dispenses NHS prescriptions and sells a range of over-the counter medicines. It provides NHS pharmacy services including Pharmacy First, vaccinations and contraception. The pharmacy supplies medicines in multicompartmental compliance packs to help people take their medicines at the right time. These are dispensed at an offsite hub. And it delivers to people’s homes if required. This was a full routine inspection of the pharmacy. The pharmacy was last inspected in March 2016.

What does 'pharmacy has not met all standards' mean?
When a pharmacy has not met all standards, they are required to complete an improvement action plan, which you can find via a link at the top left of this page. We monitor progress to check the improvements are made and inspect again after six months to make sure the pharmacy is maintaining these improvements. A new report will then be published.
