Pharmacy context

This community pharmacy is in the village of Colwick, on the outskirts of Nottingham. It dispenses NHS prescriptions and sells over-the-counter medicines. It provides NHS consultation services including Pharmacy First, blood pressure checks, Pharmacy Contraception Service, and the New Medicine Service (NMS). It also offers private consultation services including rapid blood testing and a travel health service. The pharmacy supplies some medicines in multi-compartment compliance packs, designed to help people remember to take their medicines. And it offers a medicine delivery service. This was a reinspection following an inspection in March 2026 where the pharmacy did not meet Standards 1.1, 1.6, 4.2, 4.3 and 5.2. This reinspection focused mainly on those Standards which had previously not been met. The pharmacy has improved against these standards. It has reviewed its written procedures so they correctly reflect the way it provides its services. And it is making and maintaining its records as required. The pharmacy is providing its services and managing its medicines safely. And it has a suitable range of equipment readily available for use. The working environment is clean and tidy. And it has reviewed and reduced the range of convenience foods it stocks to better align with the provision of its healthy living services.
