Pharmacy context
The pharmacy is in a residential area in Huntington, near York. It dispenses NHS prescriptions and sells a range of over‐the‐counter medicines. Pharmacy team members provide other NHS healthcare services including the Pharmacy First Service and the New Medicine Service. They provide some private services including a weight loss service. And seasonal flu and covid vaccinations. The pharmacy provides medicines to some people in multi-compartment compliance packs to help them take their medicines at the right time. And it delivers medicines to people’s homes when required. This was an inspection of the pharmacy which focused on the core Standards relating to patient safety. Not all the Standards were inspected on this occasion. The pharmacy was last inspected in November 2015.
