Pharmacy context
The pharmacy is in a Tesco supermarket in Thirsk town centre. It dispenses NHS prescriptions and sells a range of over‐the‐counter medicines. Pharmacy team members provide other healthcare services including the NHS Pharmacy First Service, NHS Blood Pressure Check Service, and seasonal flu vaccinations. The pharmacy also provides medicines to some people in multi-compartment compliance packs to help them take their medicines properly.
This was a routine inspection of the pharmacy which focused on the core Standards relating to patient safety. Not all the Standards were inspected on this occasion. The pharmacy was last inspected in May 2015.
