Pharmacy context

This is an independent community pharmacy located in a doctor’s surgery in Bournemouth. The pharmacy is managed by Day Lewis. The pharmacy serves the local population which is mostly elderly patients.

The pharmacy dispenses approximately 10,000 items a typical month. As well as the NHS essential services they provide medicines use reviews (MURs), new medicines service (NMS), private prescription dispensing, a minor ailments service, supervised consumption, needle exchange, emergency hormonal contraception via patient group direction (PGD), a flu vaccination service via PGD, a smoking cessation service, a monitored dosage system (MDS) dispensing service and a prescription collection and delivery service.

The pharmacy is open from 7:00am to 9:30pm Monday to Saturday and is open on Sundays from 8:30am until 9:30pm.
