Pharmacy context
This pharmacy is located next door to a GP practice in Bolton. The pharmacy dispenses NHS prescriptions and private prescriptions. And it sells some over‐the‐counter medicines. The pharmacy also provides the NHS hypertension service, New Medicine Service (NMS) and the NHS Pharmacy First Service. This was a full routine inspection of the pharmacy. The pharmacy was last inspected in April 2021 and all standards were met. The pharmacy changed ownership in December 2025.

What does 'pharmacy has not met all standards' mean?
When a pharmacy has not met all standards, they are required to complete an improvement action plan, which you can find via a link at the top left of this page. We monitor progress to check the improvements are made and inspect again after six months to make sure the pharmacy is maintaining these improvements. A new report will then be published.
