Pharmacy context

The pharmacy is located in the heart of the village of Southminster in Essex. The pharmacy has a particular busy over the counter business due to the rural location. The pharmacy has a screened private area but as this offers a low level of sound insulation, services such as Medicines Use Reviews are not provided. In addition to traditional dispensing services, the pharmacy provide medication in Monitored Dosage System trays to around 22 patients as well as providing a weekly pick-up service for vulnerable patients. The pharmacy provide methadone to one supervised and one unsupervised patient. There is also the provision of occasional smoking cessation advice.
