Pharmacy context
This community pharmacy is next to a medical centre in the village of High Green to the North of Sheffield, South Yorkshire. Its main services include dispensing NHS prescriptions and selling over-the-counter medicines. Its NHS consultation services include the Pharmacy First Service, blood pressure checks, contraception services, seasonal vaccinations, and the New Medicine Service (NMS). The pharmacy also provides private consultation services for weight management and period delay. It supplies some medicines in multi-compartment compliance packs, designed to help people remember to take their medicines. And it offers a medicine delivery service to people’s homes. This was an inspection of the pharmacy which focused on the core Standards relating to patient safety. Not all the Standards were inspected on this occasion. The pharmacy was last inspected in May 2016.
