Pharmacy context
The registered pharmacy is situated in an NHS hospital in Sheffield. The main business of the pharmacy is providing services to the Michael Carlisle Centre based within the hospital, the inpatient mental health services at the Longley centre and the mental health inpatient wards at Grenoside Grange through activity regulated by the Care Quality Commission (CQC). The pharmacy also dispenses medicines to people under the care of its community mental health team. Registered activity consists of providing pharmacy services to a local inpatient facility at Sheffield Children’s Hospital and occasionally to inpatients in other hospitals within Sheffield. This was a routine inspection of the pharmacy which focused on the core Standards relating to patient safety. Not all the Standards were inspected on this occasion. The pharmacy was last inspected in September 2015.
