Pharmacy context

This is a community pharmacy on a parade of shops in a largely residential area of Lewisham. It provides NHS services such as the New Medicine Service, the Pharmacy First service and the Hypertension Case Finding service. It provides a weight loss service and flu, COVID and travel vaccinations service using patient group directions. And it delivers medicines to some people’s homes. It also provides supervised administration of certain medicines.
This was a desktop re-inspection of the pharmacy following an inspection in November 2025 where the pharmacy did not meet Standard 4.3 but was meeting the other Standards. The re-inspection focused on the Standard which had previously not been met. The pharmacy had previously not been able to demonstrate that all its medicines requiring refrigeration were stored appropriately. And it was not storing all its medicines securely. It has since provided evidence to show that it now stores medicines requiring refrigeration at appropriate temperatures. And it stores its medicines securely.
