Pharmacy context
This pharmacy is located off a local high street in Stoke Newington and in close proximity to a health centre. The pharmacy provides NHS services such as dispensing prescriptions, the Hypertension Case Finding service, the contraception service, the Pharmacy First service, flu and COVID vaccinations, the New Medicines Service and supervises consumption of some medicines. It supplies medicines in multi-compartment compliance packs to people who need this support to manage their medicines at home, and it offers a delivery service. The pharmacy also runs a travel clinic and a weight management service using patient group directions (PGDs).
This was a routine inspection of the pharmacy which focused on the core Standards relating to patient safety. Not all the Standards were inspected on this occasion. The pharmacy was last inspected in October 2016.
