Pharmacy context
This community pharmacy is situated on a parade of shops in a residential area. Its main activity is dispensing NHS prescriptions for people living locally. It also supplies a large number of people with their medicines in multi‐compartment compliance packs. The pharmacy provides other NHS services which includes the New Medicine Service (NMS), Pharmacy First, COVID‐19 and influenza vaccinations, and oral contraception. It also offers private face-to-face weight management consultations via a patient group direction (PGD), and it has a home delivery service.This was a routine inspection of the pharmacy which focused on the core Standards relating to patient safety. Not all the Standards were inspected on this occasion. The pharmacy was last inspected in October 2015.
